Public Showings of the home video version of The World According to Monsanto:

Nonprofit organizations, individuals, public schools, and retail stores

Nonprofit organizations, including film societies, ecological or anti-GMO groups, public schools (other than post secondary), individuals, and retail stores, have permission to show the film at public presentations, even if they charge a fee. They do not need to contact us and do not need special permission. You are encouraged, however, to download the Monsanto Film Showing Guide and have additional DVDs available for purchase so motivated audience members can hold house party showings of their own.

Theaters

For-profit theaters that show the film commercially must pay a performance fee. Contact us in order to calculate the rate, depending on size of venue and number of showings.

[NOTE: In the case where the theater is being used by a nonprofit group, retail store, film society, etc., performance fees are not required. The normally priced home DVD can be used and you don’t need to request permission.]

Post Secondary Education (colleges and universities)

Post-secondary Educational Institutions, such as colleges and universities, which purchase the film for their library, departments, or permanent collections, must pay $250 for their copy, which allows for Public Screenings on campus even when NON EDUCATIONAL.  Can also be used in the classroom or put on reserve in library.

This policy is only for the INSTITUTION itself. Individual professors, students and campus groups can use the normally priced home version of the DVD for public showings without paying a performance fee and without requesting permission.
